“I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!”
True confession, I haven’t completely recovered from when I splurged 3 weeks ago. Basically, my low-carb lifestyle is still intact, but I haven’t exercised in over 5 weeks nor have I had any wheatgrass juice and I’ve slacked in updating my blog. Yes, my gl levels have increased some, for the past 3 weeks it has averaged about 110gl. Which is below the ADA criteria for diabetes (thats a good thing!), but not as low as I was maintaining it, <100gl. I’m having an A1c test done in about 2 weeks, so I’ll know how much damage, if any, I’ve done. The wheatgrass juice? I ran out, just haven’t replenished my stock. I’ll be ordering a new batch this weekend. Exercising? I was working out during my lunch hour, however, my work location changed so I’m no longer able to work out during lunch (sort of). Prayerfully, starting on Monday I will begin exercising in the mornings prior to going to work. The blog? This is the beginning of me back to updating my blog 2-3 times a week as I once was. As I climb back on the wagon, I need your encouragement. I said ENCOURAGEMENT, not directive, there’s a difference you know. Like most diabetics, I don’t need someone, especially a non-diabetic, TELLING me what to do, I know what I should be doing. However, a few kind words of encouragement and prayer is greatly appreciated and needed… For the times when you’ve fallen and can’t get up is when your healthcare team will help prop you up until you can stand again….
