As a diabetic knowing my daily glucose level is ultra important! Regular glucose monitoring is one way people with diabetes learn more about their condition. When it’s time to make important decisions about medication dosage, exercise, and diet, knowing your blood glucose levels will help you, your doctor, and the rest of your healthcare team.
If your illness is high blood pressure or high cholesterol, you should be aware of your blood pressure and total blood cholesterol readings, respectively. But even if you’re not battling one of the aforementioned illnesses, it’s still a healthy practice to know your numbers.
There are four important numbers that we all need to know in order to safeguard our health. Our cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index are key indicators of our risk for major illness. By knowing these numbers we can take action to reduce our chances of developing heart disease, diabetes and other major illnesses.
