“Hi this is Dr. Wanner, just as I suspected, you have diabetes.”
I’m David Henderson, II, MBA. On January 16, 2008 life as I once knew it changed. That’s the day I discovered I had diabetes. Because of my family history with diabetes, I’m determined not let diabetes control my life and eventually cause me to have my toes, feet and legs amputated. This is my journal on how I have taken control of my health. Hopefully, this will inspire, not only others, but also keep me motivated to continually be proactive and take ownership to manage my health.
Professionally, I’m an IT consultant in program and project management. I’ve spent more than 25 years in the information technology sector in various management and technical roles with significant knowledge in pharmaceutical, manufacturing and government industries.
I’m neither a medical doctor, nor a medical professional, nor giving any medical advice, I’m simply an average Joe sharing what I’m doing, and/or have done, to manage my health. Please seek medical advice before stopping / starting, any medications, diet, and/or physical regime.
