“Eating Clean over the weekend was a challenge, cause I luv me some pancakes with Mrs. Butterworth’s.”
Since I started this Eating Clean-like lifestyle, I began to wonder if an Eating Clean lifestyle is suitable for a diabetic. Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator Trisha Wood summed it up best in her Diabetes and Eating Clean post for Tosca Reno blog, “[Eating Clean] a very appropriate healthy, clean eating lifestyle that can be individualized for different people including people with diabetes. I would DEFINITELY recommend this as a jumping off point, but be sure to work with your diabetes educator and registered dietitian to monitor your progress.” Whew!! The FD has me on the right track!
Yeah BTW, before my team members start emailing, texting, and calling me, I know Mrs. Butterworths’ is not a diabetic friendly food but it sure is good in moderation!
