Step Out…Philadelphia

As promised, I participated in ADA’s Step Out walk to fight diabetes Saturday morning in Philadelphia. I’m not a crowd counter, but I would guess to say there were about 5-8 thousand people participating….. It’s was encouraging to see so many people out in support of diabetes. Like one of my friends told me when I was first diagnose, “…out all of the diseases you could get, diabetes is one of the betters ones. Because diabetes is not a death sentence, it can be managed.” Events like Step Out helps spread the word that diabetes can be beat….
