CBS reported study participants that were restricted to 5 1/2 hours of sleep per day for two weeks developed higher blood sugar levels and a resistance to insulin. Watch the above video clip for the full story.
A study of 24 college-age men, revealed that drinking coffee before high-intensity exercise can reduce muscle pain. The men’s perception of pain was lower on days when they took the caffeine, regardless of whether they were regular coffee drinkers or not. This study was published by International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism (IJSNEM) in their April 2009 issue.
