“I see the light at the end of the tunnel sir”…. Teena Marie
I must admit I did not exercise Monday morning. Nor Tuesday morning. Nor this [Wednesday] morning. But this afternoon, Teena Marie to the rescue. When I returned home from work Wednesday afternoon the CDs I ordered from Amazon had arrived. I had been anxiously waiting to hear Teena’s new CD, Congo Square, so I thought what better way to listen to her CD while on a 2 mile power walk…
So I loaded Teena’s Congo Square into my iPod Touch and out the door I raced. It felt so good to have my pulse rate racing again, sweat dripping off my forehead, and that feeling of accomplishment!!! One small step towards getting back on the wagon, and one MAJOR step towards “Saving My Foot.”
Never forget inspiration can be found all around you. There’s no need to wait until a big lighting bolt (i.e. diabetes) pops you in order to be motivated to take control of your health care.
The CD? It’s pretty good!! A jazzy, bluesy, and soulful sound rolled into one amazing project. If you don’t believe me checkout the reviews on Amazon, click here.
