Man, that billboard with those chicken wings, looks good. Dang, there’s another McDonalds. Wow, this exit has a Chick-Fil-A. Are we there yet?
Just return from another brief road trip, even though I’ve started a new chapter in my life, eating and living healthy is STILL very hard on the road. About 6 years of my professional career was spent traveling, living in hotels, and eating in restaurants. Needless to say, way too many brown fudge sundaes, baked potato’s, Bennigan’s Monte Cristo’s, pancakes, and chicken wings. There I sat 60lbs overweight, and a blood glucose reading of 313 before I took control of things (click here to read the complete story of my diabetes).
I’ve always had this battle with eating right while traveling, so if you have any suggestions on how to stay committed to a healthy lifestyle, a low-carb lifestyle in particular, while traveling, PLEASE send them to me, I get back on the road in 3 weeks!!!!
